London: Day Two

Day two in London had a slow start, considering I finally woke up around 1:30 PM. Jet lag hit me hard! Libby and I rushed to get dressed for lunch with her friend at the The Chelsea Arts Club (Libby suggested I post links to places!). In order to enter this club, one must be an artist and be accepted. We were simply guests. From the outside, the building looks rather plain howeverupon entrance the inside is quite exquisite. There are paintings bymembers covering the walls in the bar area, where we were sitting, and an assortment of other colorful items liningthe rest of the space. I could not take a picture because photographs, along with cell phones, are strictly banned inside of this extremely exclusive club. Libby's artist friend needed to cancel due to a deadline so we were not able to have lunch while we were there. Instead, we went to an all organic restaurant on Pimlico Road called Daylesford Organic. The staff were rather unpleasant and unwelcoming, but the meal was very nice. Libby and I each had a meal of eggs again (Can you tell we love eggs?) and delicious toast. English apple juice is to die for and I want to have it for every meal!
After lunch, we took a stroll down King's Road, which I am absolutely obsessed with. There are amazing shops and we looked through several. We even got to go into French Connection, which I love (thank you Micaela for introducing me!), and it took all the restraint I have not to buy anything. The one item I did purchase today was a nice little green journal to write in after eachday atthe school, starting tomorrow! Then we went grocery shopping and bought some items for dinner and the school. When we got home we watched the old black and white movie Harvey about a man and his imaginary friend, a six foot rabbit. It was absolutely hilarious and I was instantly overjoyed by the main character. Once the movie ended, Libby and I ate pasta with butter and cheese and the most amazing breadsticks for dinner. It was my kind of meal! Afterwards, we watched the movie Temple Grandin and if you have not seen it, you must go pick it up and watch it right away! It is about a girl suffering from Aspergers who became one of the top scientists for humane livestock treatment. It was extremely powerful and also very easy to enjoy, I highly recommend it! Now I am off to sleep before my first day at the school! Addio!

I had to take a picture of the Will <3 Kate post-it ad!

A sculpture I liked in front of Mercedes-Benz!

The first location of Libby's school!
