"Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday... We're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath & Beyond. I don't know. I don't know if we'll have enough time."- Old School!
Libby and I had a pretty late start- we slept in and then we drove around Barnes and past Ham Park (with people playing cricket!). We drove through Richmond Park, which I absolutely adore. It used to be a royal park and now it is open for the public and is completely wild and wonderful. There were deer just roaming around, walking with people, across the street- it was fantastic! I want to go back and walk around, outside of the car! Then we drove to Twickenham and walked around by the river and we stopped at a pub, the Barmy Arms, and had a Pimms and crisps. There was this beautiful little street of shops- Church Street- and we stopped into this fantastic candy shop, Sweet Memories. The walls were covered in jars of candy (heaven!) and they sell homemade fudge, chocolates, and ice cream. I got white mint chocolate, chocolate fudge, and some kinds of sour fruit gummy candies. Then we found out that this street shuts down completely at 6 PM in the warm weather and all of the restaurants pull out their tables and chairs so that people can eat outside! It was such a dream! We stopped at a restaurant, Masaniello, and it was delicious Italian! The pizza was to die for- the dough was so thin that it was pretty much just tomato and mozzarella- and it was so delicious!
Then when we were going home, we saw a place for traditional Thai massages but they were booked- so we started searching for another one! When we were almost home, we found a place that would take both of us for a massage, Sanctuary, and it was completely and utter heaven! I had always, always, always wanted to get a massage. I decided that when I am a rich teacher (HA!), I will have a personal masseuse! I am so ticklish that the woman had to keep telling me to stop laughing and to just "give into the massage!" Libby said she could hear me laughing through the walls- embarrassing! Then, this small Asian woman started walking on my legs and back after she asked, "Can you carry me?" I had no idea what she meant! But I would definitely recommend getting a Thai massage right now! Libby said it is way better than a regular massage and you feel much better afterwards! My muscles are so relaxed and I feel so fantastic! Woohooo! Xxxxx
